Motorcycle dairies Sri Lanka style

Took this picture on the road back to Colombo from Kataragama – perhaps beyond Tanamalwila I think. The owner was now where in site. Leaving his his set of wheels parked by the paddy. The saturated green along the road was unbelievable. Some neural flicker make this image remind me of the film “The Motorcycle Dairies”. Not a specific scene but the film in general.
Motorcycle and Paddy Fields

More recently the LTTE attacked a bus further along this road.

Cerno, I loved the movie and about a month ago I watched a documentary depicting the demise of Che. Read CIA!. I guess LTTE is a part and parcel now! Is not Kataragama in the south? How did LTTE get there?
I always wonder why rice plants are saturated like this in SL, in Japan, they are in neatly in rows and about 5cm apart!
