How did you find this blog?
Fri, 23 Oct, 09
Google searches and links from other blogs now count for more visits to my blog than the traditional source: kottu.org. A trend that’s been consistent since the war ended. I’m curious about how new commenters on this blog found it. If you found this blog via a source other than kottu.org please let me know in the comment box.
Have a good weekend

I found you from another blogger’s blogroll – So it is Google
I found it from another blog called London, Lanka and drums. That RD chap is most brilliant!
I found it from that brilliant Londoner’s blogroll too!
Doing research for a literature thesis on identity in the face of violence in South Africa post 1994 and how it affected JM Coetzee’s book ‘Disgrace’. Got here with google as Sri Lanka is a modern equivalent. Not much data in SA so I’ve widened the net.
Not sure if that helps but I don’t really get the internet.
Your Psych of cyberspace was also very useful; have a blog myself and I’m doing an article on Co.Lab in Cape Town.
http://lostisaplacetoo.blogspot.com
Will get it done eventually.
Kirigalpoththa: Which one?
RD:
heard he’s a rockingly good drummer too
Chavie:
interesting its not kottu.org
LdimediciAf: happy to hear that one of my posts was of use
Incidentally I did get a chance to see the film adaptation of “Disgrace” which was a shocker of a film. What key words were you using?
I could have saved you an hour or two of your life. Consider it a haircut.
Spend most days using google so have searched for everything from ‘sex’ (No Thanks!) to wisdom and everything in between.
Came across your’s by chance having been invited to visit Sri Lanka for some do. Know of a place called the Barefoot Cafe or any hotels in the area? Might come across in a few years with a book in hand.
Yes know of the Barefoot Cafe in Colombo. Their website is http://www.barefoot.lk
if i remember correctly – i was looking for blogs on google earth and sri lanka and we got into a discussion about where the ltte could have taken off from on their first raid into colombo and i had suggested a disused runway at Palaivi just south of Puttalam – the beginning of many returns to your blog
I found it through Kottu about 3 years ago. been visiting your blog ever since then to read the interesting informative comments and posts you make
maf: Glad you did stumbled upon my blog
Planet Apex: Thank you
happy keep coming back.
LLD
My stats back you up
I seem to be getting more referrals from his exalted Rythmicness than from kottu.
I Googled “Psycho who bogs” and that directed me to your bog. And Yes i’m glad i found you for you’ve been living upto my requirements, psycho who bogs !
Once a blogger has risen in stature above the carnival of mediocrity that is Kottu to sustain traffic to their blog, the statistics will reflect the lack of dependancy
I found ur blog through another blogroll
nasty anon: Happy to know that I’m up to anyone’s standard even though I’m not so sure about the psycho part. I did a google search (both on google.com and google.lk) for the search term “Psycho who bogs” (with and without quotes) and couldn’t find this blog. When did you run your search?
Girigoris: carnival of mediocrity that is Kottu aw aw harsh
Do you remember what blogroll it was? (sorry to be nosey)
I think it was through London, Lanka & Drums…
I do believe I found it after your post on street racing upset a few of the street racing folk
oh..can’t remember for sure..think it is chavie..
Pericles: Yes I remember that one
you informatively pointed out some things that I had got gloriously wrong
kiri:
thank you
mystery google
:O ??
fascinating
