Big machine ballet

Video of “dancing” excavator machine choreographed by Anne Troake is a quite touching and funny to watch. Visually it does shake your expectations and perceptions to see machines move with such grace and precision.  Specially when your normal expectations it to see slow lumbering movements. I’ll leave the rest of the commentary to the youtube video below. You certainly won’t be seeing this sort of thing at Punchi Theatre or Barefoot 😉

A localised version of this could use the Sri Lanka Army’s Main Battle Tanks – now that they aren’t busy with the war…

  1. good one..always good to see things in a different light. maybe we could do this with trishaws as they weave thru traffic and put the carl orf’s carmina baruna as the soundtrack – well at least the second movement

    1. Trishaws and carmina baruna! now THAT is a truly innovative idea 🙂 I think if you mount a few cameras at a couple of colombo cross roads its actually possible to pull off a video like that.
