The Economist has a fascinating article about how the countries that were part of the former Yugoslavia are slowly getting back together. Something that seemed unthinkable during the horrific days of the1990s.
What pulls them together seems to be more than just economics.
Fundamentally I think it is the whole business of being human. That there are ties of culture and convenience that cut through even the most tragic wounds.
